After an interesting continuing medical education and certification course, Dr. Mahn was conferred the title “Golf Medical Coach” in Munich/Alling on March 13, 2016, certifying his special knowledge in the diagnostics, therapy and prevention of injuries and overuse injuries relating to the sport of golf.
Now that we are approaching the end of the year 2015, we would like you to thank you sincerely for the trust you have placed in us. Wishing you and your family a joyous Christmas season and Happy and Prosperous New Year! Moving forward to 2016, we continue to give you our concerted support to heal your injuries or diseases to the best of our capabilities.
Dr. Mahn has returned from Israel and, starting today, he’s back seeing patients as usual during his office hours. The under-18 national football team won the 4-nation tournament under the best external conditions. Afterwards, all players went off to their well-deserved Christmas holidays without any major injuries. The trip to Israel was as much of an impressive experience because of the football, as it was by virtue of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relationships between Germany and Israel. The special importance of the relationship between these two countries was underscored by the prominence-studded German Football Association (DFB) delegation with the officiating first DFB vice-president Dr. Rainer Koch and sports director Hansi Flick.
On November 23, 2015, our first monitoring audit was conducted by the governmental technical inspection association “TÜV Süd” after our certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 approximately one year ago. Passing the external monitoring audit provides confirmation that our quality management and its consistent implementation are the right way to go. Of this we all are proud and, for this, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to my practice team.
At this point, we would like to inform you with immediate effect that Dr. Mahn is now team physician for the under-18 national team of the German Football Association (DFB). At the same time, we ask for your understanding when he has to be absent from the practice because of his duties in this capacity. Whenever this is the case, however, Mr. Diaz will be competently assuming Dr. Mahn’s duties and always generally run the practice in his absence.
Dr. Mahn is a team physician for the Swiss national women’s football team in Canada. That is why he will not be holding office hours in June and will not be performing surgeries either. Dr. Mahn’s next planned surgery date is Tuesday, July 7, 2015. We hope you will understand and count on your enthusiasm for football—regardless of whether you’re cheering on Germany, Switzerland or any other country.
We regret to inform you that the surgery date on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 will be cancelled since Dr. Mahn will be absent for 3 days while fulfilling his function as team physician of the Swiss national team. On Wednesday, May 27, 2015, he and his team will be playing their last World Cup practice match before they fly to Canada. They are competing against the European champions Germany in Baden.
It goes without say that the practice will still be opened, with Mr. Diaz attending to you. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.
On other hand, you might be a football aficionado yourself and rooting for one or the other team …
Dr. Mahn Practice Team
We regret that Dr. Mahn will not be in the practice from March 2 to 12. During that time, as team physician, he will be accompanying the Swiss national women’s football team to Portugal who’s playing in the star-studded Algarve Cup. During this time, Dr. Mahn’s colleague, Mr. Diaz, will be filling in for him. The next possible surgery appointment with Dr. Mahn himself is March 17.
