DVT new at our practice – a game changer in diagnostics

The digital volume tomograph (DVT) is a modern X-ray technology that produces three-dimensional images of the head, arms, and legs within just a few seconds. Compared to a conventional CT scan, it results in significantly lower radiation exposure while still delivering very high image quality (slice thickness 0.2 mm – an MRI typically has a slice thickness of 3 mm). Since the examination can be performed directly at the practice, diagnosis and treatment planning are possible more quickly, and additional referrals are no longer necessary. In addition, the DVT allows for precise 3D images on which even the smallest bone changes or hairline fractures can be detected. We are glad to have acquired such an outstanding diagnostic tool from SCS and thank them for the excellent service – from consultation through purchase and installation to the thorough training of all staff.

Dr. Mahn will be at the DFB Campus on March 3rd with our U19 national team (Head Coach Hanno Balitsch), which is why the practice will unfortunately be closed.

We congratulate our U17 national team on winning the World Cup. The team led by Christian Wück displayed an incredible performance of determination, overcoming strong French opposition even with a player less on the field. After securing the European Championship title in the summer, the boys have once again excelled. Fantastic!
