It is a load-bearing joint and can be concurrently affected by injuries or wear. The facts obtained are used to render an accurate diagnosis. Special compresses\/dressings, intra-articular injections and anti-inflammatory drugs can be used for this purpose. Shockwave therapy can also be applied to the knee joint as a natural healing method. Sometimes, arthroscopic surgery is necessary. This is always performed using the more gentle key-hole technique and mostly very conveniently for the patients on an outpatient basis.
