2020 was a difficult year for all of us. It was entirely dominated by the corona pandemic and the countermeasures that have been taken, which hit us all hard, but some are significantly worse than others. The weakest in particular need our help this year. We have decided to participate in fundraising campaigns.
More than usual we depend on mutual respect, tolerance and appreciation as well as solidarity. We try to live this and we want that from all people, each as he / she can, each in his / her way and following their own convictions.
Our practice will be closed from December 21st, 2020 to January 8th, 2021. The practice will be renovated during this time, and we are respecting the “pandemic lockdown” at the same time. However, we have set up a telephone service and are available for you at least in the morning.
Despite difficult times, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a healthy 2021.

DFB: U20 in Italy and England
Dear patients!
At the end of March, Dr. Mahn will be on the road as team doctor of our DFB U20 national team (head coach Christian Wörns, assistant coach Peter Hermann) for international matches in Italy and England. He will be represented by Dr. Glück and Dr. Müller-Rau in the consultation hours on the corresponding days. Next surgery day is April 5.

TÜV Süd: DIN ISO 9001:2015 confirmed
At the end of 2021, the regular monitoring audit of TÜV Süd confirmed the successful application of our quality management system according to DIN ISO 9001:2015. Our QM system is continuously adapted to new tasks and requirements (in particular to changing requirements in the field of outpatient surgery as well as data security and necessities due to the pandemic) and implemented in coordination with our QM consultant Dr. Welz-Spiegel. The fact that we have again passed the external monitoring audit by TÜV Süd without any objections this year confirms that we continue to follow the right path in terms of quality management and its consistent implementation. We attach great importance to quality and traceability and look forward to re-certification in the year ahead. We will continue to work on our process quality at the highest level in the future. Once again, thanks to my great team.

Another challenging year is coming to an end. The virus and the anti-Corona measures have once again taken a lot out of people. Unfortunately, there seems to be divisions in the population and radicalization in one direction or the other. Actually, we all just want the same thing, to be healthy and free. Let us accomplish this together and in solidarity without exclusion and radicalization.
Our practice will be closed from January 3 to 7. We are performing an IT update and server replacement. However, we will be available by phone in the mornings. In the second week of January, Dr. Mahn will be at the DFB annual medical conference on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so the next surgery day will not be until January 18.

Dr. Mahn will be on the road again from November 7th for almost two weeks as team doctor of our DFB U20 national team (head coach Christian Wörns) for international matches in France and Portugal. He will be represented by Dr. Glück and Dr. Müller-Rau. Next surgery day is November 30th.

Dr. Mahn is on the road from August 29 to September 7 as team doctor of our DFB U20 national team (head coach Christian Wörns) for international matches against the Czech Republic (September 2, 4:30 pm, Jablonec/Czech Republic) and Norway (September 6, 3:00 pm, Zwickau). In the meantime he will be represented by Dr. Müller-Rau.

Dr. Mahn is on Holiday!
Dr. Mahn is on his well-deserved family vacation from July 19th to 30th. Unfortunately, no operations can take place during this time. Miss Dr. Glück will represent Dr. Mahn during this time and has limited consultation hours so that emergency care is ensured and ongoing therapies (ESWT / shock wave, SpineMED, series of injections) can be scheduled normally. The next day of surgery is August 3rd. We apologize for any inconvenience and wish you a nice summer and a great vacation!

Dr. Carina Glück, specialist for orthopedics and trauma surgery, is back on board.
Dear patients, dear referring physicians!
There is good news: Dr. Glück is now back from maternity leave and parental leave. In the meantime, she has taken her specialist examination and is now available to you as a newly qualified specialist in orthopedics and trauma surgery. I am very pleased to have gained such a competent, sympathetic and reliable colleague for our patients in the long term. Ms. Glück covers the entire conservative field of orthopaedics and trauma surgery, including post-operative care and emergency care in the practice.
Happy easter even with Corona!
Easter is just around the corner and unfortunately it also marks the anniversary of our life with Corona. Especially during the holidays, I wish everybody around me a bit of peace and quiet time in their the family, even if most of them cannot be with all of their loved ones. I wish us solidarity and respect, mutual recognition and acceptance, especially when different views and opinions clash, that’s quite normal in times when everyone has their worries.
I won’t be in the practice from April 12th to 16th, so no operations can take place that week. Miss Dr. Müller-Rau will replace me daily.

Dr. Mahn will be with the U19 national team (head coach Christian Wörns) as team doctor in Velbert / Düsseldorf from October 5 to 15, where two international matches against France will take place under appropriate corona protective measures. The practice is open and the staff are there for you. Dr. Müller-Rau takes over the daily representation. The next surgery day is Tuesday, October 20th, 2020.
